A video which may be described as an insult on the Yoruba descents of Nigeria went viral in the early hours of Wednesday, April 26, 2017.

In the 25 Seconds video; the Ooni of Ife was seen arriving at an event at which moved to greet the Oba's, as soon as he stretched his hand to greet the Oba of Lagos who is Rilwan Aremu Akiola, the Oba swerved him by raising his left hand. The Ooni then smiled and took his seat...

This event has taken the Yoruba world by shock as they wonder why Oba Akioula behaved in that manner.

Nigerians have taken to social media to show their anger at how the Oba of Lagos snubbed the Arole Oodua Ooni of Ife Oba enitan ayenini with posts on Twitter and Facebook.

One Laureen Makinde posted: "They don't ever want the youths to flourish! I don't see the Ooni being snubbed, someone just dragged himself on the floor, taking pettiness to ridiculous heights".

In another post-Adelayo Raphael Oderinde wrote;

"that oba of Lagos or eleko of eko is a bastard, who does he think he is, he is a fucking bastard to have snubbed first class king in the Yoruba land, I think he should be investigated we want to know if he really is from Yoruba land. Who does not know our history, Akiolu is a bastard to have disrespect our dynamic king, even Ebora of Africa Obasanjo prostrated before him and say we cannot do away with our culture."

One ayoyinka bambi also posted; "I will humbly suggest that His Royal Highness should correct this unprecedented error by apologizing to His Royal Highness -- Oni of Ife. Our beloved Oni is just being a humble personality apart from being a historical and undisputable First Class King. An apology will end the further confrontation."

A Facebook User Prince Bola Usman posted;

"Or what else do you expect from a man whose adult life was framed in the cradle of Nigeria's police force? Can a leopard change its spots? Egbe isu ko ni iyan joo! Ooni ki se Egbeyin, Egbe Baba yin lonse.. Lagos King without Culture nor Respect" ..

Oba Akiolu hasn't made any comments on the incident yet but the entire Ifes viz-a-viz Yorubas are demanding an open apology from Oba Akiolu for his action towards their father.
